Richard Dean recorded “The Way It Is” live, at the Ming Tree restaurant (1993) on two synths and a drum machine.
A six night a week, one man band gig that doesn’t exist anymore, he wrote songs for Moby Grape in the 80s and 90s and recorded piano, organ and vocals on their “Heart Album ’84”. American Dream was one of his.
Currently he plays piano at memory care facilities in the Seattle area .
“The Way It Is” is still true today – as it was then.
