Seth Campbell

Seth Campbell is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Boston, Massachusetts, and a recent graduate (summa cum laude) from Berklee College of Music. In addition to playing numerous piano-bars in the greater Boston area, Seth also toured with his mentors’ band The Brew (who opened for Bruce on several occasions) and can be seen with their spin-off band Cold Engines from time to time.

For his version of Bruce’s “Stander on the Mountain,” Seth not only plays the piano and sings, but also, in a nod to his heritage, breaks out an Irish penny whistle, which is the secret weapon that made him a unique addition to The Brew. This recording reunites him with Brew keyboardist Chris Plante, Seth’s longtime teacher and friend, who produced this track and provided stellar organ and bass parts, along with The Brew’s original drummer extraordinaire Kelly Kane, who so masterfully provided the rhythm.

Seth is currently in the planning stages for his first album of original material, but in the meantime, he can be found on SoundCloud, where he posts demos, live recordings, and experimental projects. He also maintains a presence on YouTube, where he posts live videos and curates his original “Segue Says” podcast, which explores his passion for performing one song straight into another without stopping while giving in-depth analysis of the songs and how they work. a passion inspired and cultivated by Bruce and The Grateful Dead.

As a sideline, Seth also does transcriptions and other sheet music work for hire. Contact sethdanzante@yahoo.com for inquires.
