ToHuBoHu is honored to be a part of its second tribute album, and vocalist/multi-instrumentalist John D. Beck is thrilled to be contributing to his fourth. ToHuBoHu draws their musical style from the blues, jazz, and alt-country genres, with a side of New Orleans.

“Big Swing Face” was a unique selection for this power tuba trio from Northern Michigan. The band always seeks out the deep cuts for their repertoire, and they love discovering and playing the more obscure Hornsby tunes as well. The quasi-second line groove of “Big Swing Face” was a perfect fit for their M.O. The trio, which has performed together for the past nine years, also features Bruce Cassell on tuba and Dave Potvin on drums. Special thanks to Brian Lord for mixing our contribution.
